Who We Are

Philippine American Bar Association (PABA)

Mission: Foster and promote the professional growth of its members through the exchange of ideas and information through networking opportunities; sponsor and encourage public service to the Filipino-American community; develop and sustain cooperation with other legal and community organizations; and provide a unified voice for its members regarding current social, economic and legal matters affecting the Filipino-American community.

Geographic Scope: Southern and Central California

Year Established: 1986 (predecessor organization Pilipino Lawyers of Southern California "PLSC" was organized in 1976)

Signature Program/Events: The Annual Gala. Additionally, PABA sponsors community legal clinics focusing on various areas of the law and provides pro bono legal services. In addition, PABA provides continuing legal education seminars and professional development opportunities for its members and assists law students through its scholarship and fellowship funds and mentorship programs.
